Saturday Songs – July 5, 2014
The nice thing about YouTube is that surfing around it you can find just about anything. This is especially so with music. Case in point, Some time ago I found a version of Heart’s Barracuda sung by Gretchen Wilson and I was impressed that someone who seemed so country could rock.
This week’s clip is a hidden gem of a different vein. In the 1980s, the Dire Straits had a hit with Money For Nothing. This clip is a performance of that song, though with only Mark Knopfler and not the entire band. Joining him on stage for the performance, though, are Eric Clapton, Phil Collins on drums, and Sting on backing vocals.
