Picks of the Week – September 25, 2013
This is the last Wednesday of September, 2013, and the first of Autumn. sounds like a good time for some new comics.

Batman Detective Comics #23.4 (DC Comics) – The Justice League is dead, and the villains are on a rampage through Gotham. Can Man-Bat rise to the challenge and become the new protector of Gotham? Or, will he be as much of a menace as the rest of the villains.
Aquaman #23.2 (DC Comics) – Ocean Master has escaped Belle Reve and begins his long trek to the ocean. Will he side with the other villains, or will the chaos he witnesses stir something in his cold Atlantean heart.
Justice League of America #7.4 (DC Comics) – When last we saw Black Adam, he had been turned to dust by the new wielder of the power of Shazam. Now, he is called to defend his ancient homeland once more.
Adventures of Superman #5 (DC Comics) – In the first of two stories in this issue, Superman battles to protect a strange infant sent to Earth for her protection. The second story asks what happens when Superman can’t be everywhere.
FF #12 (Marvel Comics) – As the team prepares to rescue the Fantastic Four, the Foundation’s newest student tries to adjust to his new school. Plus, an interesting analysis of colors, superheroes, and super villains.
