Picks of the Week – August 28, 2013
The United States gets ready for the Labor Day holiday next week. It’s a good thing that there are a lot of new comics out this week for the long weekend.

Justice League #23 (DC Comics) – Trinity War wraps up at DC gears up for its first company wide event of the New 52 universe. Secrets are revealed as the players vie for Pandora’s mystical box. Even if you have not been following the Trinity War story line so far, you need to pick this issue up. It is this week’s must read.
Batman Incorporated Special #1 (DC Comics) – This anthology follows the adventures of various members of Batman’s elite. There is even a Bat-cow story.
Red Lanterns #23 (DC Comics) – Guy Gardner now leads the Red Lanterns, while a depowered Atrocitus and Dex-Starr seek out the one being that can restore the former Red Lantern’s power: Butcher the avatar of the Red Lanterns. Plus, we begin to learn the motive behind Gardner’s joining the Red Lanterns.
Batman: The Dark Knight #23 (DC Comics) – It’s Batman against Clayface. Can the Dark Knight find a way of imprisoning the shape changing monster this time around?
Wolverine and the X-Men #35 (Marvel Comics) – The Hellfire Saga wraps up as the Hellfire school is attacked by the X-Men. what happens to Broo? And what happens between Kid Omega and Oya???
FF #11 (Marvel Comics) – The Impossible Man is back, and he needs the help of the FF. Naturally, this can’t go well for out heroes.
Also This Week
The Wake Director’s Cut hits the stands, reprinting the first issue with lots of extras. Also, Aspen Comics releases Overtaken at the special cover price of $1.
