Picks of the Week – May 15, 2013
Unless you have gotten lost in Candy Crush Saga (and let’s face it, who hasn’t), you realize that it’s Wednesday, and a new super candy, er, new comics day.
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD
Batwoman #20 (DC Comics) – Early in the run, Batman warned Batwoman that there would be a cost to working with DEO. Now, Kate Kane has learned that DEO is in the position to ruin her and her family unless she gets them Batman’s identity.
Batgirl #20 (DC Comics) – Still shattered from the end of issue 19, Batgirl finds herself facing off against the Ventriloquist. Can she defeat stop her with the police wanting to take her down for the death of her own brother?
FF #7 (DC Comics) – It’s the Future Foundation against the Frightful Four. In the immortal words of Stan Lee, ‘Nuff said!
Doomsday.1 #1 (IDW) Eerily times with recent increased solar activity, John Byrne brings us this take of the destruction of the Earth by a massive solar flare, and a team of astronauts who have survived the destruction. I am very interested to see where Byrne goes with this series.
