Picks of the Week – March 20, 2013
Has it been one of those weeks? Had March come in like a lion and looks like it’s going to leave as a lion with rabies? Has a once popular social media site become completely uncool?
Well, at least this Wednesday, you have a bunch of new comics to read.

It’s been one of those weeks. Still aching from the Blizzard of 2013, and the back light on my laptop screen has burned out (at least, I think it’s just the back light).
At least it’s a new comics day.

5 Great DC Animated DVDs
It seems interesting that for a company that has not been able to stick a landing in the theaters (the Batman movies excluded), DC Comics’ animated DVDs are head and shoulders above the competition (namely, Marvel). Given the choice, I would much rather watch any of the DC titles that have come out on DVD than the few Marvel titles, most of which have just been pretty bad.
For those who are looking for a good watch, and are not sidled with the conception that animation is only for children, I have a few suggestions for you.
Picks of the Week – January 23, 2013
Bitter cold has gripped much of the country, including the Northeast. At least this week’s new comic day heats things up.

After last week’s gigantic week, this week’s comics are a bit sparse. Not counting Spider-Man #700, which I did not pick up because I am still bitter from One More Day (and I heard what the story was, too), I picked up a grand total of 6 comics.
