Saturday Songs – November 3, 2012
Since November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), it seems fitting that the Saturday Songs selections should come from, or be inspired by my past NaNoWriMo projects.
The first NaNoWriMo project I did was an adventure about a man searching for the son he never knew he had. Naturally, this piece also had a superhero slant to it. But music played a big part in the piece. He often quotes song lyrics at various times, and the main female character was a singer and a magician.
At one point in the story, this character casts a spell on the main character, using lyrics from a Kim Wilde song as the trigger. The video for this song, dating back to 1984, really screams 1980s. And the lyrics I used had no bearing on the scene in question, except that they were a spell trigger.
Anyhow, here is the song, The Second Time by Kim Wilde.
