Saturday Songs - September 8, 2012

Moving on from last week’s 1980s pick, we find ourselves in the 21st Century for this weeks pick.

Now, you would think being in the month of September would have me finding a song that somehow talks about September, or by a band that has September in the name.  Well, that’s where you would be wrong.  I based this weeks pick strictly on the fact that it sounds cool.

April Rain was released by Delain in 2009, off the album by the same name.  The band, fronted by Charlotte Wessels, falls into that odd merging of symphony and metal that I like so much.  This particular track appears on my personal “Women Rock” playlist.
