Picks of the Week - August 15, 2012

 

Some weeks it just doesn’t pay to be a comic geek.  For me, this is that week.  Thanks to a SNAFU with Diamond Distributors, my local comic shop was shorted no less than eight titles.  From what I can tell, they are all DC books, which I have been reading, including Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps, both of which I have been eagerly awaiting.

Still, I did pick up some books this week, and do still have some picks.

Wonder Woman #12 (DC Comics) – Wonder Woman faces off against Apollo and Artemis for the throne of Zeus.  A lot is happening in this book, from new developments with Wonder Woman, to betrayal, to… the return of the New Gods???

Revival #2 (Image Comics) – The mystery behind what happened in Wausau, Wisconsin deepens as Martha deals with her new condition while Dana deals with her father, the sheriff.  What happened to bring the dead back to life, and who murdered Martha?
