Can someone please explain to me the purpose of the Facebook poke?

It serves no purpose at all and it just starts unnecessary Facebook poke wars that continue for an indefinite amount of time because nobody will accept defeat or back down. In fact, your time would be spent better by teaching llamas how to drive stick shift.
