100 Books in 366 Days – Post Goal
Now that I’ve reached my goal of reading one hundred books in 366 days, I figured it was time to relax a bit. I’m not going to stop reading, but now the count will be a bit different.
Well, more to the point, what will count will be different. Up through my meeting the goal, I was not counting any graphic novels or comic strip books I might have read. This became more fun to deal with since Goodreads.com reading challenge actually accounts for graphic novels read. Since I read fifteen during my 100 in 366 run, I had to adjust the Goodreads count to reflect that. This is why the reading challenge counter is at 115 instead of 100. I actually steered away from reading graphic novels during this so that I did not have to adjust the goal number up any more than I already had.
Now that I reached my goal, I am not going to count graphic novels in the mix for completed reads. I am not going to adjust the counter anymore, so the final goal number will remain 115. Everything after this will count as overage, whether it is a prose novel like Jaws, or whether it is a graphic novel like Batman: Earth One.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, I use trading cards as bookmarks. This actually gives me a visual of how many books I’ve read. At least, a visual that is more manageable than a big pile of oddly shaped books that may or may not be loaned out or donated as I see fit.
One thing that won’t change. I will not stop reading.
