Picks of the Week – March 28, 2012
The last week of March rolls in and we have another batch of new comics to check out.
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD
Aquaman #7 (DC Comics) – Blank Manta is on the hunt, and his prey have a connection to Aquaman. Who are the Others, and why does one of them want to kill the one man who can answer the riddle of the relic from the trench?
Green Lantern: New Guardians #7 (DC Comics) – It’s the assembled Lanterns against Invictus, who has crossed the paths of one of the Corps before. Plus, the assembled representatives of the Lanterns begin to act a bit out of character.
Justice League Dark #7/I, Vampire #7 (DC Comics) – These two issues begin the Rise of the Vampires crossover. Madame Xanadu’s assembled team comes to Gotham City, ground zero for a major vampire outbreak. But, Andrew Bennett is dead (even for a vampire). Can the League save him and stop the vampire before all is lost? Look for Gotham guest stars and cameos throughout both issues.
Superman #7 (DC Comics) – It’s Superman versus Helspont. Can the Man of Steel triumph against a major player from the Wildstorm Universe?
Voodoo #7 (DC Comics) – It’s a tale of two Voodoos, one on Earth trying to get answers to her imprisonment and cloning. The other faces off against the Daemonites. The end of this issue will shock readers of this book.
Star Trek #7 (IDW) – In the first story that does not draw from the original series, a powerful weapon is being delivered to the Romulans unless the Enterprise can stop it. This issue sees the return of an old enemy with a surprise conspirator.
