Picks of the Week – February 22, 2012
February rolls forward as another Wednesday brings us another batch of picks.
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD
Justice League Dark #6 (DC Comics) – Zatanna, John Constantine, Deadman, Shade the Changing Man, and Madame Xanadu. They don’t work well together. Heck, they don’t even like each other. But will they be able to pull together as a team before they have to face their next adversary. This issue sets up the groundwork for the upcoming crossover with I, Vampire.
I, Vampire #6 (DC Comics) – Batman guest stars as Andrew Bennett faces off against Mary Queen of Blood and her swarm of vampires. But will our hero be able to last until next month’s crossover with Justice League Dark titled Rise of the Vampires?
Green Lantern: New Guardians #6 (DC Comics) – The gathered agents of the Lanterns face off against the master of the Orrery. Can their combined might stand against its power?
Aquaman #6 (DC Comics) – Mera takes center stage as she comes to Amnesty Bay. This issue has an interesting take on our aquatic heroes, and shows is exactly how “weak” they are on dry land.
All-Star Western #6 (DC Comics) – Jonah Hex concludes his adventure in the underbelly of Gotham City as he concludes his business in the future home of Batman. Also, the back-up story of the Barbary Ghost wraps up.
Wolverine and the X-Men #6 (Marvel Comics) – It’s a Brood invasion from within and without in this issue, as Beast leads a team to fight the Brood infesting Kitty Pryde while the school is attacked by the Brood as well. Plus, Wolverine and Quentin Quire embark on Logan’s secret mission to fund the school.
