Picks of the Week – December 28th, 2011
Last new comics week of 2011, and a decent number of good titles out to wrap up the year.
Teen Titans #4 (DC Comics) – It’s Superboy and Wonder Girl battling in Times Square as the ranks of the Titans grows by two.
Justice League Dark #4 (DC Comics) – The pieces of the nightmare that has gathered the supernatural forces of the DC Universe begin to fall into place, leaving June Moone alone to face the Enchantress.
I, Vampire #4 (DC Comics) – John Constantine guest stars as Andrew Bennett meets another vampire with whom he has an unknown connection.
Aquaman #4 (DC Comics) – The first story arc comes to an end as Aquaman and Mera discover the source of the creatures that have attacked Beachrock. This is probably the best Aquaman series that I have read.
All-Star Western #4 (DC Comics) – Jonah Hex is hired to find a missing boy, bringing him and Doctor Arkham deep under Gotham City and into a mystery that is bigger than just the one boy. The back up story introduces the Barbary Ghost.
Ultimate Comics X-Men #5 (Marvel Comics) – The secret of Stryker is revealed as one of the X-Men turns against the group.
Secret Avengers #20 (Marvel Comics) – A mission gone wrong sends Black Widow back in time. Can she find a way of saving the team without drastically and chaotically altering time?
Angel and Faith #5 (Dark Horse Comics) – Meet Angel and Faith’s latest client: Harmony.
